Orono officials to come and get to know the candidates running for the vacant town council seat on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 7-8 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers 59 Main Street, Orono.
The three candidates running are Daniel LaPointe, Laurie Osher and Ryan Ratledge. See more information below.
Town officials said the attendance of residents is important. Town councilors determine the level of service and approve the spending of your tax dollars for snow plowing, trash removal, police & fire protection, code enforcement, zoning, etc.
Come October 5 to ask questions and get to know the candidates. You also may submit your questions for the candidates by calling in to 889-6905 or emailinginfo@orono.org. You can attend in person or watch the candidates night live on YouTube “Orono Town Council”, Town of Orono’s Facebook page, or on Spectrum Channel 7 (Orono’s Public Access TV).
Also, please remember to vote Tuesday, November 7. Voting will be held in just one location – the New Balance Field House and Memorial Gym, University of Maine (“THE BIG M”)from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
