The Maine Warden Service is looking for those responsible for hitting a moose on Kennebago Road in Coplin Plantation and dumping it off a bridge two miles away in Lang Township, according to a news release.
The vehicle, which dragged the moose two miles through the unorganized territories in northern Franklin County, is believed to be a full-size pickup or SUV that may have front-end damage.
Game wardens are asking that anyone with information call the Maine State Police barracks in Augusta at 207-624-7076 or 1-800-452-4664.
