PARIS — Bail was set at $2,500 cash for a Hartford man charged with sexually assaulting a juvenile girl inside his camper last month.
Dylan Drake, 19, was arrested Friday, Sept. 29, and charged with Class A gross sexual assault, which is punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
His bail conditions included having no contact with any female younger than 15.
According to an affidavit by Lt. Justin Brown of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, the girl was brought to the Sheriff’s Office in Paris by her mother on Sept. 21. The girl reported that Drake sexually assaulted her even though she tried to stop him.
Brown wrote that he contacted Drake on Friday, learned he was staying in Wilton and interviewed him. Drake initially said the girl wanted to have sex with him, but later admitted that she had said no, according to the affidavit.
Judge Nancy Carlson ordered Drake to appear in Oxford County Superior Court on Dec. 20 and said bail can be reconsidered then.
