MINOT — The Minot Historical Society members traveled to the Bates College solarium for a program on the night sky at the Sept. 12 meeting.

Nikki Hastings of the Bates College staff provided a view as the sky would be seen in Minot, then she took two telescopes outside to view Saturn with its rings.

The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the town office, 329 Woodman Hill Road. Guest speakers will be former and present leaders and members of the Girl and Boy Scouts of Minot. Everyone is welcome.
