LISBON — The School Committee on Tuesday evening elected Ross Cunningham to fill the seat held by Gina Mason, who died unexpectedly last month.
The committee had 30 days to elect a replacement.
Cunningham, a retired naval officer, founding member of Positive Change Lisbon and owner of Watson Hill Consulting, will serve until elections Nov. 7. Cunningham, along with Kimberly Labbe-Poisson and Richard Nadeau, will run for the three-year term.
“I’ve got a really good understanding of budgetary constraints, how to make ends meet and set your priorities to get where you need to get to,” Cunningham said.
The next School Committee meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the Town Office.
