LITCHFIELD — Lorraine S. Szynkiewicz, 85, of Litchfield, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1932, in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Leon and Helda (Smith) Goss. She lived in the Sabattus, Lisbon and Litchfield area most of her life. She attended local schools, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1950 and then attended Bliss College in Lewiston for two years. On June 20, 1975, she married Leo Szynkiewicz in Sabattus. She worked for several years in the accounting department for Warchalowski Brothers Lumber Company. In her younger years she belonged to The Sabattus Mountaineers Snowmobilers Club and was a member of The Auxiliary members of VFW 158 of Lisbon and The Tacoma Lakes Association. She enjoyed working on puzzles, reading, gardening and especially traveling with her husband, Leo.

Lorraine is survived by two sons, Jack Morgan and significant other, Catherine Curtis of Durham and Winston Morgan and wife, Shirley of Sabattus; grandchildren, Jason Morgan and wife, Krista of Tennessee, Nick Morgan and wife, Mary of Greene and Michelle Morgan of Connecticut; one sister, Gloria Elk and husband, Fred of Belgrade; great-grandchildren, Ezra and Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Leo Szynkiewicz; a son, Tom Morgan; sisters, Gertrude Hines and Carolyn Malarsie; and brother, Winfield Goss.
