AUBURN — Auburn City Council workshop and meeting, 5:30 p.m. in the council chamber at Auburn Hall. Agenda includes approving a rental assistance program and authorizing funds for a workforce housing project on Troy Street.

WEDNESDAY, Oct. 18

AUBURN — Auburn School Committee, 7 p.m., Auburn Hall. On agenda: Special Education Director Ryan Fairchild will give presentation on proposed legislation that would switch Child Development Services for ages 3-5 to local schools, plus review and presentation of fall test data.

AUBURN — Auburn mayoral debate between candidates Adam Lee and Jason Levesque. Hosted by the Auburn Public Library and the Sun Journal, 6-7:30 p.m. at Central Maine Community College. 

SATURDAY, Oct. 21

AUBURN — “Real Kids Wear Pink,” Maine Cancer Society event to help fight breast cancer, 8-noon at Central Maine Orthopaedics, Minot Avenue, craft projects, games and prizes for kids of all ages, appearances by princesses and fairy tale creatures made possible by Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre, Spectrum mascot, Scrubby the Spectrum Schnauzer and FanZam (a Zamboni in costume).
