MEXICO — Mexico Historical Society has canceled its Oct. 18 meeting.
Society to hear from UMF student
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Historical Society will meet Monday, Oct. 23, at the North Church, 118 High St.
A potluck supper will be served at 6 p.m. with a meeting to follow.
A program, “History of Abbott School,” will be presented by Layne Nason, University of Maine Farmington student and FHS intern.
Everyone is welcome.
SeniorsPlus representatives in Bethel
NORWAY — SeniorsPlus will be in Norway from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Norway Savings Bank.
Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.
All events are free and open to the public. Appointments are required.

Arts and Crafts Association meeting
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association has scheduled three fall meetings in preparation for its annual crafts fair.
The first meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Room 123 of the University of Maine at Farmington Student Center. Registrations for the fair will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a business session at 7.
A subsequent meeting is scheduled for Nov. 14 at the same location.
An annual event for more than 40 years, the fair this year will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the student center.

State historian at Hebron Society
HEBRON — State Historian Earle Shettleworth will speak to the Hebron Historical Society on “The Maine Home Front in World War I” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Town Office, 351 Paris Road.
The public is invited.
Sabattus Seniors to meet
SABATTUS — Sabattus Seniors will meet on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Maxwell-Gill Hall.
The meal will be beef stew and reservations are required by contacting 207-375-4037 by Thursday, Oct. 26.
Those attending the meeting will be able to sign up for the Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 7, at CJ Hall, Webster Street, Lewiston. The price will be $12, which will be due upon sign-up. Those who do not attend the November meeting may contact 207-375-6588.
Events for Sabattus Seniors will not be held if Sabattus schools are canceled.
