PARIS — Oxford Hills Nezinscot Adult Education will offer the following classes:

Acting 101: The Foundation: Thursday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. for seven weeks; Corrine Turner, instructor. It is an arts participation course designed to teach the basic skills, concepts and methods of modern realistic acting technique. Tuition: $45.

Eating Better on a Budget: Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 6 p.m. for four weeks; Kate Goldberg, instructor.  The series will provide the skills to shop, cook and eat healthy food while staying within a food budget. There will be food demonstrations and tastings at each session. The class will be held at Buckfield Junior-Senior High School. Tuition: Free.

Ballroom Dancing Advanced: Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for six weeks; John Blanchette. Ballroom II will continue to build on the original three dances, but will also add another dance chosen by the group. The class will end with a ballroom social. Tuition: $60.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED: Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 14 and 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. for two sessions; Lucas Hartford. This is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. The course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED to meet jobs, regulatory or other requirements. Tuition: $75.

Essential Oils: Thursday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.; Mary Crane. The class will show how to use essential oils to optimize health and well being. Material fee of $5 paid to the instructor. Tuition: $20.

Observatory Training: Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. for four weeks; Rick Chase. Learn how to use the telescope at Twitchell Observatory. Participants must be able to climb the ladder to the telescope. Adults who complete the course may be certified to use the observatory on their own. First night class attendance is crucial. Tuition: $40.

Computer Basics: Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for two weeks. Introduction to using computers with Teresa Drag. Become familiar with the workings of a computer. Using a mouse, using the internet, and learning about email and how to create folders and organize files. Tuition: $49.
