I was shocked to see the Opinion Page cartoon in the Oct. 14 edition. Who could possibly have thought that the loss of 6,000 homes and businesses, the deaths of dozens of people and the dislocation and injury to tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of our fellow citizens should be a topic for a cartoon?
And who at the Sun Journal made the decision that this cold-hearted and thoughtless statement was funny or would add anything of value to the days news?
The author of that tasteless cartoon and the editors of the Sun Journal should be ashamed.
