RUMFORD — Harriett T. Sicotte, 95, of Sicotte Road, Peru, died Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Rumford Hospital, Rumford.

She was born in Rumford on Jan. 18, 1922, a daughter of John and Ruth (Glover) Trenoweth, and had attended Rumford schools.

Harriett had worked at Burst Foster Mill in Dixfield, and then at Thurston’s Dowel Mill in Rumford until retirement from the Clippings Dept.

She presently holds The Boston Post Cane for the town of Peru. She enjoyed crafts, cake decorating, snowmobiling, and spending time with her family.

Harriett was married in Rumford on June 27, 1942, to Edmund J. Sicotte who died April 19, 1991. Survivors include a son Timothy Sicotte and wife Penny of Rumford; a daughter Karen Lark of Rumford; 8 grandchildren, Tim Jr., Sandy, Brian, Todd, Heidi, Tammy, Kelly and Mindy; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Corinne Ackley of Sumner, Thelma Milligan of Rumford and Clara Gallant of Mexico; 2 brothers, Norman Trenoweth and companion, Jean, of Canton and Danny Trenoweth and wife, June, of Mexico. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Nancy; 3 brothers, James and William Trenoweth and John Ladner; and a sister, Eleanor Andrews.
