HARTFORD — Betty J. Hutchins, 90, a lifelong resident of Hartford, passed away peacefully, Friday, Oct. 20, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 25, 1927, in Hartford, the daughter of Julia Chamberlain. She attended school in Hartford and was a graduate of Canton High School. On Feb. 9, 1947, in Turner, she married Donald Hutchins. He passed away Nov. 19, 1998. She was devoted to her family and her home, and also ran D-B Antiques for 15 years in Hartford. She enjoyed her flower gardens, book collections and antiques. She was a good cook and was especially known for her delicious apple pies. She is survived by her sons, David Hutchins of Livermore, Michael Hutchins and his companion, Debbie Hamel of Maine and Wesley Hutchins and companion, Dana Dudley of Hartford; daughters, Julie Stuart and husband, James of Wisconsin, Jane Averill and her husband, Michael of Buckfield; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hutchins of Canton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother; her husband; son, Donald Hutchins Jr.; sister-in-law, Brenda Child; and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hutchins.
