FARMINGTON — Madre and Alicia are Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
Madre, the Dog of the Week, is a 1- to 3-year-old female Lab mix. She is sweet-natured, very wiggly, loves playing with other dogs and would probably be fine with kids and cats, too.
Alicia is once again the Cat of the Week because her friends at the shelter can’t believe this loving senior cat hasn’t yet found a permanent home. Alicia loves to cuddle, purr and has lots of love to give.
Madre, Alicia and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
