A few weeks ago, there was a bit of talk about the amount of debt America has. It was kicked down the road until December. I hope no one got a tin sliver in their toe from kicking that can too often.

In 2008, it was all about being “too big to fail.” Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, President George W. Bush and a few other forgettable characters did a reasonable imitation of being a deer in the headlights as they sought to diffuse the situation.

Bush was fond of saying that America was a nation of laws. No one went to jail in 2008 for operating beyond the margin of the law.

After nine years of mind-numbing brainwashing, devious market manipulation and sundry propaganda, the venue has been remodeled. Nothing has been done to lessen the evils which brought on 2008. Now, the only question is, are we too big to succeed?
