I first met Michael Marcotte during my tenure as a member of the Lewiston Planning Board. One of the attributes I first noticed about him was his intense passion for Lewiston. This passion shone through during planning board meetings as he would challenge varying positions on issues, asking the tough questions and tackling controversial issues head-on.
Marcotte was, and always has been, a faithful advocate for the people of Lewiston. He was an effective member of the planning board due to his keen ability to be detail-oriented. Even when the written material for a particular meeting was lengthy and dense, he read every word with a cautious eye so that he was able to cast fully-informed votes.
Michael Marcotte worked diligently to achieve objectives that advanced the city forward, which is why I am confident that he is the best person to represent Ward 7 on the Lewiston City Council.
