MEXICO — Oscar Bernard, 60, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, at his residence in Mexico.
He was born in Lewiston on May 15, 1957, the son of Omer and Eva Mae (Belanger) Bernard, graduated from Rumford High School and had attended the University of Maine at Farmington.
For many years he was a self-employed antique dealer in the area. He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church and was an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include a brother, Owen Bernard and wife, Brenda of Dixfield; and sister-in-law, Debbie Bernard of Lewiston; a niece, Chelsea Bernard of New York; a nephew, Austin Bernard, of Orono; uncles, Wilfred Belanger and wife, Jeanne of Rumford, Maurice Belanger and his wife, Bernadette of Rumford, and Edgar Bernard of Rumford; his partner, David Nichisti, of Mexico. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Omer Bernard II.
