With 12,000 more in population than Auburn, Lewiston is bound to be the dominant party in the proposed merger of the Twin Cities. As a long-time resident and taxpayer in Auburn, I am not ready to become a minority backwater of Lewiston, paying whatever heavy tax that the combined city officials might decide I must pay.

If the merger passes, I shall sell and move elsewhere.
