I am confused. Reading the letters to the editor in the support of Ben Chin — exactly what office is he running for? Mayor? The state Legislature? Congress?
Social Security, minimum wage, Medicare/Medicaid are state and federal issues. Plowing, paving roads and garbage collection are city issues.
On housing, lead paint and opioid issues are being addressed by city committees. Except for the occasional photo op, he has not been around. Giving tax refunds to Lewiston taxpayers? Please!
I take my hat off and bow to him for his ability to defeat the six years of welfare reform legislation submitted by Lewiston.
On Nov. 7, I hope other Lewiston residents will join me in voting for a candidate who is speaking realistically about issues, not the one promising the moon.
