FRYEBURG — Jazz Residency Initiative presents the fourth annual Fryeburg Academy Jazz Residency Capstone Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center.

The concert will feature world-renowned saxophonist Dave Pietro with the award-winning Fryeburg Academy Big Band, Chorus and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The concert will also include a professional set during which Pietro will be joined on stage by regional professionals Les Harris Jr., John Hunter and Tom Snow.

Pietro will lead an artist-in-residency experience for the Fryeburg Academy student musicians for three days prior to the concert. During the residency, he will teach a series of masterclasses, as well as provide instruction and feedback to student vocalists and instrumentalists on an individual, small group and large ensemble basis.

Pietro has played with many well-known musicians, including David Bowie, Paul Anka, Louis Bellson, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Dave Matthews Band, Ray Charles, Rosemary Clooney, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Feinstein, Chaka Khan, Liza Minelli, Sandip Burman and John Pizzarelli.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and older), and $5 for students (-18). For those interested in providing additional support for this program, benefactor tickets are available for $50. These tickets grant backstage access for a pre-show meet-and-greet with Pietro, along with a CD for every two tickets purchased.

Purchase tickets in advance at www.fryeburgacademy.org/pac or 207-935-9232. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show.
