PORTLAND — Karen M. Tibbetts, born Nov. 11, 1955, beloved wife of Jonathan Tibbetts of Oxford, went to see Jesus on Friday, Nov. 10, in Portland. Karen was born in Danvers, Mass., to Joseph and Alice Ryan Jr.
Karen spent her life caring for others even when her health was failing. In her short time here on earth she touched many lives and will be missed by many. She worked many years in the medical field and was very proud to have served 20 years on Oxford Fire Rescue.
Karen was predeceased by her father and mother as well as stepmother Barbara Ryan whom she loved as her mother, and her “outlaw” father Kenneth Tibbetts.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jonathan; sister Judy Cross and husband, Philip; brother Robert Ryan and wife, Ann; brother Joseph Ryan III and his wife, Patsy; sisters Cindy Bunch and Melinda Frye and her husband, Rick; brother Michael Ryan and his wife, Ann; brother Wayne Verrill; and her godmother Cate Ryan.
She is also survived by her “outlaw” family, Dorothy Tibbetts, Phil and Ginny Dubia, Ron and Mary Keach and Rusty and Rachel Harnden, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
