Heritage society to meet
WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the FinnAm building, 8 Maple St.
Following a short business meeting, the afternoon will feature a program, “Remembering Dr. Akerberg,” based on an in-person interview by Mary Rose McKinnon for the University of Southern Maine’s Life Studies Program.
The public is invited and the coffee table will be available.
Sons of Italy to meet
RUMFORD — Sons Of Italy Lodge No. 467’s regular meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Lodge on Route 108.
There will be a light lunch following the meeting. Guests are welcome.
Historical Society to meet
WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m Monday, Nov. 20.
It will start with a potluck supper. A business meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.
The entertainment, which will start at 7 p.m., will be announced.

Warm clothing give-away
FARMINGTON — A warm clothing give-away will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at the Fairbanks School, 508 Fairbanks Road, Route 4.
They are accepting donations of all types of warm clothing for the winter, as well as sheets and blankets.

Historical society to meet
MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Calvin Lyons Hall. A potluck supper will be held.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, guest of honor will be Bob Worthley, who served in the Korean War.
Garden club meeting plans meeting
FARMINGTON — Aaron Bowden, of Koboku Bonsai Art and Pottery will be the guest speaker at the Mt. Blue Area Garden Club’s November meeting.
Bowden is dedicated to the cultivation, design, continued education and the preservation of the timeless in the living art form called Bonsai.
In addition to being an experienced bonsai enthusiast, he is a master potter, musician/vocalist, bagpiper and multi-faceted artist.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Route 2. This is open to the public; refreshments will be served.
