The State Workforce Board’s Older Worker Committee presented the Silver Collar Award in October to Community Health Options of Lewiston and three other Maine companies as 2017’s best employers for workers over the age of 50. The Silver Collar Employer Award honors employers whose policies and practices match the needs of mature employees, capturing their skills and experience, strong work ethic, flexibility and enthusiasm. Community Health Options is a nonprofit, member-led health insurance plan providing comprehensive health insurance benefits to individuals, families and businesses. Joyce McPhetres of Community Health Options accepts the Silver Collar Award from Fred Webber of the State Workforce Board.
