CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – The price of gasoline has gone down slightly in northern New England.

GasBuddy’s daily survey of gas outlets says the price has fallen 2.5 cents per gallon in Vermont in the last week, averaging $2.55. The price in Maine went down seven-tenths of a cent, also to an average of $2.55 a gallon. New Hampshire’s price went down sixth-tenths of a penny to $2.51 a gallon.

The national average went up 8.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.55. It’s 8.6 cents per gallon higher than last month, and 40.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
