An encore performance by the Senior Discount Barbershop Quartet will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Anglican Church, 64 Elm St., Mechanic Falls. The quartet, part of the Downeaster Chorus, held a concert at an ice cream social the church sponsored in August. The singing foursome agreed to return to perform a Christmas concert to help raise funds for the 160-year-old church building. The concert is free, but donations are welcome. The quartet travels miles to rehearse each week. Jack Baggs, lead, lives in Windham, Dave Sweet, baritone, is from Kennebunk, Marshall Wagner, tenor, lives in Gray and Wally Duplessie, bass, is from Windham.
