POLAND — A fifth arrest was made Friday night in the armed robbery on Empire Road on Oct. 26, according to a news release from Androscoggin County Chief Deputy William Gagne.
Isaiah Strong-Gassama, 20, with no listed address, was found and arrested at a residence on Rosewood Lane in Poland by deputies who were following leads.
Strong-Gassama attempted to flee the residence but was captured without incident and taken to the Androscoggin County Jail. He was being held on $20,000 cash bail.
Strong-Gassama is expected to be arraigned Monday.
The victim in the robbery called police on Oct. 26, saying five people came into his home and took electronics and other items belonging to his mother.
It was later detailed by a a detective at the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office that the group took the victim’s cellphone, video game player and marijuana, including paraphernalia.
The homeowner said that during the robbery the intruders threatened him and threatened to shoot his dog. Then pushed him down, breaking his glasses.
Four other people were arrested and charged with Class A robbery prior to Strong-Gassama.
Michaela Wagg, 20, of Richmond and her brother Caleb Wagg, 18, of Bowdoin were arrested earlier this month for their connection to the armed robbery. They were released on bail and arrested again for violating bail conditions.
Jordan Small, 18, and John Wright, 18, both of Auburn, were also charged with robbery and have since been released on bail.
