LEWISTON— This week’s Oasis of Music will be an opportunity for the audience to sing some of the great carols traditionally saved for the Advent season, led and accompanied by a quartet of singer, flautist, fiddler and bassoonist. The selections will be pulled from the hymnal at Trinity Church and include the familiar “O Come Emmanuel” as well as several beautiful and less well-known carols. Oasis curator Greg Boardman will play violin, accompanied by Chris Lansley on flute, Ted Walworth on bassoon, as Peg Hoffman leads out the verses.
The noontime concert, held at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St. begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 1. Admission is always free of charge. FMI: call 344-3106.
