Pine Cone Chapter OES meeting

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Masonic Hall, 121 Turner St.

The chapter will honor all past and present grand representatives. The members are asked to bring filled Christmas stockings for Officer Poulin. The traveling mascot for District 4, “Abby,” will be at Pine Cone.

The meeting will be preceded by a pot luck supper at 6 p.m.

All Eastern Star members are welcome.

Androscoggin County Democratic Committee meeting

LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, Central Avenue. Enter through the doors marked “CC” to the right of the main entrance.

A brief business meeting will be followed by a holiday season celebration, including dessert. Call Mary Roussel at 207-783-3890 if interested in bringing a dessert.

The business meeting will include the election of a new vice chair.

All registered Democrats are encouraged to attend and visitors are welcome.

Grange to hold Christmas program

AUBURN — Danville Junction Grange will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14. Due to renovations being made to the Grange Hall, the meeting will be held at Danville Union Church, 1065 Old Danville Road.

A Christmas program will be presented by Lecturer Norma Meserve.

Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops and unwrapped toys, books, games and knit goods, such as mittens or hats, for the Salvation Army Project. The items need to be there by 6:45, as they will be picked up at that time.

Grange members and guests are invited.

Farmers market open Sundays 

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Farmers Market will be open 10 a.m. to noon every Sunday for the 2017-18 winter season, Oct. 22 through Feb. 25, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave.
