Brook Anderson and her mother, Stacey Anderson, both at center, look at Brook’s artwork at L/A Arts’ closing reception for the “Day of the Dead” art exhibits. Students decorated small dioramas and masks in memoriam of family members or ancestors who have passed away. Brook honored her grandfather by decorating her ceramic mask with bright flowers, because he was a fan of wearing Hawaiian shirts. The exhibit closes Tuesday. (Andree Kehn/Sun Journal)
