Wreath of Hope for loved ones
RUMFORD — River Valley residents can remember loved ones with a light on the Wreath of Hope.
The Wreath of Hope is a fundraiser for Special Olympics, Team Leaping Lizards.
The Wreath of Hope will be displayed on the Hope Association on the Route 2 side of the building through Sunday, Dec. 31.
The wreath will have lights of blue, green and yellow. Blue lights are in memory of a person or pet; green light, in honor of a military person who is serving or who has served; yellow light, for friendship or love. There will be a displayed list of purchased lights at Hope Association.
Light tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at Hope Association, What-Not-Shop, Briar Patch, Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair and other locations in town.

Snowshoe club holding raffle
RUMFORD — The Snowshoe Club on Waldo Street is selling tickets for its 50/50 raffle, which will be drawn on Saturday, Jan. 20, during the club’s meat loaf supper.
Poodunck Snowmobile Club to meet
DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will meet at noon on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 32 Weld St.
Being discussed will be the results of the Think Snow Dance and the upcoming “Blessing of the Sleds,” which will be held on Feb. 10, 2018.

SeniorsPlus representatives visiting Norway
NORWAY — Representatives from SeniorsPlus will be in Norway from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Norway Town Office.
They will answer any questions or address concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.
The event is free and open to the public.
