LEWISTON — Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District recently held the annual election when Steve Sinisi of Durham was elected as a supervisor for a three-year term.

Sinisi owns a pasture-based livestock operation in Durham and has conserved his 70 acres as a Forever Farm. He has been working with AVSWCD for about a year and serves a key role as an important voice for the board of supervisors.

At the year-end meeting, AVSWCD supervisors appointed Sinisi as the new chairman of the board of supervisors as their long-time chairman??, Paul Roseberry, will be leaving.

Sinisi has been involved in working with agriculture since he was 15 and he ?continues to ??work on bring?ing? a focus to agriculture in the local  community.
