LISBON — After the score was tied at 31 at the end of three quarters, Giana Russo scored six of her 21 total points in the fourth to lead Lisbon to a 42-39 girls’ basketball victory over Dirigo on Wednesday.

Dirigo was able to erase a six-point halftime deficit in part because of Lillie Williams, who led her team with 10 points along with Ashley Perreault. However, it wasn’t enough, as Dirigo fell to 0-6. Lisbon is now 1-4 after the win.

Rangeley 76, Highview Christian 34

CHARLESTON — Behind Natasha Haley’s 17 points, the Rangeley girls’ basketball team defeated Highview Christian 76-34 on Wednesday.

Haley also tallied five assists, some of which contributed to Brooke Egan’s 14 for the Lakers. A 21-2 first quarter set the tone for the Lakers, and Highview Christian wasn’t able to come back.

Megan McDonald led all scorers with 24 for Highview, which falls to 1-5. Rangeley now moves to 5-0 on the season.

Rangeley 79, Highview Christian 26

CHARLESTON — The Rangeley boys’ basketball team jumped out to a 13-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back as the Lakers routed Highview Christian 79-26 on Wednesday.

Rangeley was led by Kyle LaRochelle’s 27 points, followed by Kenny Thompson’s 21. The Lakers had a 20-point lead at halftime, and finished the game with 31 in the fourth.

David Stanley scored 14 for Highview Christian, which fell to 2-4. With the victory, Rangeley moved to 3-2 on the season.
