A Toyota Corolla became hung up on the steel structure of the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge between Lewiston and Auburn on Friday morning. Police said Tammy Hood, 47, of Lewiston, had been driving across the bridge shortly before 11 a.m. when she lost control of the car and crashed into the supports. Damage to the Toyota was extensive, but Hood was not hurt. No charges were expected. (Spencer Fitz photo)
