WEST PARIS — Mary Brett, 84, of West Paris, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on July 7, 1933, the daughter of Theodore and Charlotte Daniels Brett.
She graduated from West Paris High School and Maine Medical School of Nursing. She also took classes at UCLA. She worked as a registered nurse at Maine Medical Center and Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Rock-O-Dundee Riders snowmobile club and the West Paris Fire Auxiliary. Mary had a special place in her heart for her cats Sammy and Sunny, her companions for more than 18 years. Mary loved her family and friends, and enjoyed time with them at her camps in Seboomook and Cupsuptic. Mary enjoyed fishing and the Maine outdoors.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Brett, of California, and nieces and nephews: Ronald Brett, Donald Brett, Julie Brett, Patricia Brett and Stephen Brett. She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Robert Brett; a niece, Norma Brett; and a nephew, Robert Brett.
