FARMINGTON — Police said a Farmington man has been charged with permitting minors to consume alcohol at his home on Town Farm Road on New Year’s Eve.
Edward Carleton, 46, was arrested Sunday night on a charge of furnishing a place for minors to consume or possess alcohol, according to reports filed by Farmington Police Department Sgt. Edward Hastings IV and officer Jacob Richards.
A caller reportedly contacted police about 10:40 p.m. Sunday after seeing Snapchat posts from the party. The caller recognized severalof the youths who were holding alcohol, accordsing to sources.
An estimated 50 young people were at the party. There were numerous minors throughout the house, many drinking or holding alcohol, according to police.
Carleton was found standing among the crowd of people.
Parents and police provided rides home for of the partygoers.
Carleton was arrested and taken to Franklin County Detention Center. He was released Monday on $350 cash bail.
