MEXICO — Dakota J. “DAX” Hoff, 23, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Mexico. He was a resident of Richards Avenue in Mexico.

Born in Norway on Jan. 1, 1995, he was the son of Joseph P. Hoff and Rebecca Collette Beauchesne. He was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford. DAX was an apprentice electrician with IBEW Local No. 567, a job that he was proud of. He also enjoyed camping.

Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Collette Beauchesne, of Mexico; father, Joseph P. Hoff, and his wife, Heather, of West Paris; brother, Corey Theriault, and wife, Dawnasia, of Mexico; two sisters, Amber Kirkwood and her husband, Steven, of Augusta and Rachael Pierce of South Paris; paternal grandmother, Antoinette Probert, of Rumford; maternal grandfather, Robert Collette, of Roxbury; stepmother, Colleen Warner, of Bethel; step-grandmother, Marjorie Daniels, of Otisfield; and step-grandfather, Fred Foster, of Buxton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
