LEWISTON — After taking a month off for the holiday season, Lifetree Cafe will reopen its doors at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, when the topic will be how to make the most out of life.

The program, “Make the Most of Your Life: A Perspective that Will Change Your Life … Forever,” will feature a filmed interview with Tony Melendez, a professional guitarist who was born without arms.

Melendez describes how his attitude has affected his ability to live a normal life — and make his living performing music.

“The people who make my heart hurt are those who say, ‘I can’t’,” said Melendez. “I wish I could help them say, ‘I’ll try’.”

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Cafe is located at 1919 Lisbon Road.

The cafe is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Travis Burleigh, 207-783-33616 or travisburleigh@gmail.com.
