I commend the recent column by James McKenna. In it, he recognized the good work that Rick Camire has done in bringing a local poem to the Sunday morning newspaper every week.
Using simple, rural language, those poems express complex visions in an extremely pleasant and understandable manner. I have read poetry all my life and, to my way of thinking, they are the best I have ever read, bar none. There seems to be a renaissance brewing in them thar hills. I hope it progresses further.
I wish the local public television station would do a small show featuring the efforts of those people on a weekly basis. The poems are works of genius.
