ALGOOD, Tenn. — Earl Dwight Buck, 75, of Algood, Tenn., died peacefully at home Sunday, Dec. 24, knowing the ones he loved were by his side.

Earl was born in Lewiston, April 4, 1942, the son of Dwight Charles and Lucille May (Buck) Buck. He attended Buckfield schools.

Earl worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his life. He loved hunting and the outdoors. His family was No. 1 to him, and providing for them was always his primary goal.

In addition to Maine, Earl also lived in Vermont, Massachusetts, New Mexico and Texas, finally retiring in Tennessee.

He was predeceased by his parents; one son, Kevin Roy Buck; and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sally Fern (Amadon) Buck; five children, Janice Linehan and husband, Steve, of Vermont, Carleton Buck and wife, Audrey, of Missouri, Pamela Buck and companion, Tom Champney, of Vermont, Alfred Buck, of Maine, and Stacey Medrano, of Tennessee; also 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Nellie Hanson, of Livermore Falls, Robert Buck, of Auburn, Linda Robins, of Livermore, Marilyn Chesley, of Sumner, Brenda Holt, of Waterford, Lillian Clough, of Buckfield, Alden Buck, of S.Paris, and Dennis Buck, of Sumner; plus a host of nieces and nephews.
