NORWAY — SeniorsPlus is offering a six-week workshop, Living Well for Better Health, beginning Monday, March 12, and run on successive Mondays. The workshop will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Harper Conference Room, Ripley Building, Stephens Memorial Hospital, 181 Main St.
The workshop may help those with chronic aches and pains, those who feel tired, who are concerned about weight, feel stressed or who are dealing with other ongoing health concerns to learn new ways to feel better and be in control of life. The workshop has been shown to reduce hospitalizations by improving participants’ ability to take care of their health by learning ways to better manage their health conditions.
The workshop draws a mix a people of all ages — adults with diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, weight concerns and many other health conditions. Discussion and activities focus on dealing with frustration, exercising at the level of ability, working with health care providers and setting goals. A family member, friend or caregiver can also participate.
The book and CD used during the workshop are loaned to participants at no charge.
