AUBURN — Yvette M. (Sandoin) Frechette, 96, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 9.

She was born in Auburn on April 6, 1921, the daughter of the late Alfred and Angelina (Boisvert) Sandoin. She attended St. Louis and Walton Schools.

She worked at Lown Shoe for 28 years. At the time of retirement, she was working at Kmart in Auburn.

Mrs. Frechette was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary in Sabattus, the Sabattus Senior Citizens, Litchfield Senior Citizens and Robin Dow of Auburn. She enjoyed going to Florida in the winter, playing cards with her friends and making all kinds of crafts. At one time she was an avid bowler. She married Mr. Andre Frechette in 1974, and he died in 1986.

Yvette is survived by a son from a previous marriage, Gerard Sirois Jr., and longtime companion, Priscille Hatch, of Litchfield; three grandsons, Richard Sirois and wife, Laurie, of Leeds, Daniel and his wife, Kelley, of Litchfield, and Gerard Sirois III and his wife, Cathy, of Leeds; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roland Saindoin; and sister, Fernande Janelle.
