Pianist John Kramer will perform an all-original program at Bates College on Jan. 18. Kramer, an assistant professor at the Berklee College of Music and a member of the Bates College Class of 1995, says that Bates is where he decided to become a musician. He composed all the music for this return to alma mater, including reflections on natural phenomena, an adaptation of the civil rights anthem “We Shall Overcome,” and several “Exultations” and “Meditations.” The program is free but tickets are required: batesconcerts.eventbrite.com.
