LEWISTON — Lucille A. Wiers, 83, of 25 Martin Drive, Lewiston, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born in Auburn on July 11, 1934, she was the daughter of Dolar and Ida Fogg Gagnon. Educated in local schools, she worked for many years in area shoe shops, mostly at Belgrade Shoe, where she was the Packing Room foreman. On Oct. 21, 1953, she married the love of her life, Dean H. Wiers Sr. She was a devoted wife and mother, and loved spending time with her family, especially time spent at their camp on Cobbosseecontee Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Dean, of Lewiston; three daughters and a son: Linda Gunnoe and her husband, Jack, of Charleston, W.V., Dean Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Lewiston, Patty Vigue and her husband, Simon, of Otisfield, and Carla Bouchard and her husband, Jim, of Sabattus; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
