FARMINGTON — Maine Families-Franklin, a program of the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, has landed national endorsement through the Parents as Teachers National Center.
Endorsed sites demonstrate high quality implementation of evidence-based home visiting utilizing Parents as Teachers approved curriculum. The PAT National Center awarded 101 Parents as Teachers (PAT) affiliates with Blue Ribbon status, a high distinction in the field of evidence-based home visiting.
To earn Blue Ribbon status, PAT affiliates undergo a rigorous self-study and national center review process to confirm that they are meeting Parents as Teachers’ standards of fidelity and quality. Blue Ribbon affiliates are exemplary programs, delivering highest quality services to children and families.
The new Blue Ribbon affiliates, including those representing the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, will be formally recognized on Oct. 11 at the 2018 Parents as Teachers International Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
