The Sun Journal is not for sale.
We have been hearing from readers concerned that the “SALE PENDING” sign at the entryway of the Route 2 office building means the Franklin Journal, Livermore Falls Advertiser and Sun Journal are up for sale. They are not.
The building at that location is owned by the Costello family, who sold the Sun Media Group publications to ?Reade Brower last year. At the time of sale, the Costellos retained ownership of that building but have recently entered an agreement to sell the property.
The newspapers will continue to operate at that site after the sale of the building, with the same hours of operation and services as always.
