JAY — Police said a Livermore Falls woman is accused of driving drunk and hitting a utility pole beside Route 133 near Bean’s Corner early Sunday.

Lauren S. Lundy, 21, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of operating under the influence, Police Chief Richard Caton IV said Monday.

She was driving a Chevrolet Cruze south on Route 133, and witnesses told police the car was tailgating and they let it pass before the crash, Caton said.

There were no injuries.

The crash was reported about 12:10 a.m.

Jay police officer Michael Booker was assisted at the scene by Franklin County sheriff’s Deputy Derrick Doucette and the Jay Fire Rescue Department.

Lundy was taken to Franklin County Detention Center and was released Sunday morning on $200 cash bail, according to the booking log.
