MECHANIC FALLS — The Town Council on Monday night unanimously approved a liquor license for the Mill House Pub at 128 Lewiston Road.
The bar, formerly Shooters Sports Pub, was bought by Yvonne Franklin and Steve Perry, who said they plan to run it similarly but have “spruced the place up.”
It’s scheduled to open Thursday.
Councilors heard from complaints by Catherine Pressey about her neighbor on Bucknam Road. She said the owner has turned the place into a “junkyard” and his property is too close to the setbacks from the curb or road.
Councilman Nicholas Konstantoulakis agreed to look at the property and respond to Pressey.
Public hearings for fireworks and the budget were set for March 13 and April 11, respectively.
The council also reminded residents the Town Office will be closed Monday, Feb. 19 for Presidents Day.
