AUBURN — Joseph Conrad Lemm, 76, of Poland, died Monday, Feb. 5, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born in Brainerd, Minn., on Sept. 27, 1941, the son of Conrad and Magdalena (Wicker) Lemm.

After attending schools in Minnesota he proudly joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Brunswick. Thirty-three years ago he married Lise Letourneau, and they are longtime residents of Poland, where they reside in the log home that Joseph built.

Joseph worked for Proctor & Gamble for 22 years as a mechanic.

He was a member of the Mason’s Tyrian Lodge No. 73 in Mechanic Falls. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and woodworking.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lise; daughter, Debbie Horne; son, Kipp Gavin; sister, Leona McCartney; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; stepchildren, Marc, Randy, Paul Belanger, Denise Peaselee; several step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin Lemm; sisters, Irma and Selma; brothers, Leonard and Howard Lemm.
