LEWISTON — Sandra J. Main, 65, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 27, 1952, the daughter of Gaston and Elsie Cash Laflamme. She attended Poland schools.

She had been employed at local nursing homes and was a factory worker, but for most of her life she was a homemaker. While living down south she attended the Central Fellowship Baptist Church. Moving back to Maine she attended the Auburn Baptist Church, then the Vineyard Church in Lewiston.

Her kids and family were very important to her. She was very interested in her ancestry and enjoyed genealogy. She also enjoyed crocheting and puzzles. She was a people person.

She is survived by her children, Lance French of Hartland, Landon French and his wife, Michelle, of Oxford, Andrew French and his wife, Heather, of Deland, Fla., Donald and Danielle Ellis, of Lewiston, and Katie Gilbert and her husband, Brian, of Mechanic Falls; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Judith Callahan, and her husband, Dan, of Mechanic Falls; and brothers, Gaston, of Mechanic Falls, and James and his wife, Jerri, of Maine; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elsie Record and Gaston Laflamme; an infant son, Wesley French Jr.; and a great-grandson, Nash French.
