Extensionists to sponsor day event
CHESTERVILLE — A “Warming Center” day event will be sponsored by the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers from 10 a.m. to 2 .m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.
A free light lunch will be provided. Events will include board games, puzzles, cards, or bring knitting, crocheting, sewing. It should be a fun time of getting warm and socializing.
The center does not provide childcare services or adult day care. In case of inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be sent to WKTJ.

Snow Cross Camp in Farmington
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Baptist Church will host the free Snow Cross Camp 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 20 and 21, at the Farmington Conference Center, 216 Whittier Road.
Participants will have the chance to meet professional snowboarders and dog-sled racers. There will be snowshoe races, snow games, a fire pit, free food and live music by Matt Ouellette.
Nature-Based Education Institute
FARMINGTON — Registration is open for the University of Maine at Farmington’s third annual Nature-Based Education Institute.
This year’s UMF institute will run from May 18 to 20 and feature a public lecture by a notable educator on Friday evening; a full-day session-packed conference on Saturday; a Hut Hike Overnight Experience Saturday; and a half-day nature-based activity on Sunday.
Low-cost accommodations are available on-campus for Friday and Saturday night. Participants will stay in a single residence hall room with bedding provided.
