BERLIN, N.H. — Norman J. Bergeron, of Berlin, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 12, at the Coos County Nursing Home. He was 89 years old.

Norman was born in Berlin on Feb. 21, 1928; he was the son of the late Silva and Maria (Fissette) Bergeron.

He attended school in Berlin and married Marguerite R. Boulanger, and they raised two sons and four daughters. Prior to retiring in 1990, he was employed as a mechanic for the City of Berlin.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His greatest love was his family; he was a very loving, caring and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed polka music and tinkering around with woodworking. His favorite pastime was helping others and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marguerite (Boulanger); a son, Paul; and brothers, Roger and Gilbert “Bobby” Bergeron; and his sister, Claire McKay.

He is survived by a son, David Bergeron, and wife, Joanne, of Lewiston; four daughters, Sandra Cere and husband, Bill, of W. Milan, N.H., Susan Warren of Berlin, N.H., Rachel Fredette and husband, Richard, of Merrimack, N.H., Anne Brown and husband, Charlie, of South Barre, Vt. He also leaves seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
